Dance Pole - FLOOR POLE Screwed to the floor

The Floor Pole is designed for dancers who can’t install a traditional ceiling-mounted pole — for example, due to a suspended ceiling or very high ceiling. Unlike standard poles, the Floor Pole is mounted only to the floor, so there’s no need to drill into the ceiling. It functions just like a regular one-piece or stage pole once installed, though it may take a short time to get used to the slightly different feel. It’s the perfect solution for home training in spaces where ceiling installation isn’t possible.

If you have a suspended (drop) ceiling, you can’t safely mount a standard pole into it — which makes the Floor Pole the ideal choice. It bolts securely to the floor and doesn’t touch the ceiling at all. Unlike a Stage Pole, it doesn’t have a platform, so you get a full, unobstructed dance area. The wide, stable base and smooth edges allow for safe movement and exotic pole tricks without tripping over a stage base. The pole can also be shortened to fit your room height, making it the most practical option for suspended or high ceilings.

Installation begins by fixing the base plate to a concrete floor using heavy-duty anchors. The first installation requires drilling holes, so it’s best done by someone comfortable with a drill. Once installed, assembling and removing the pole is quick and simple — just tighten or loosen the screws. The mounting screws are designed for repeated use and won’t wear out easily. After removing the pole, six small holes will remain in the floor, which is normal for this type of setup.

No – the Floor Pole doesn’t require any drilling or contact with the ceiling. It’s mounted only to the floor, making it ideal for spaces with suspended or very high ceilings. If your ceiling is low, the pole can be cut to a custom height for a perfect fit. This ensures safe, comfortable training regardless of your ceiling type.

The maximum height for the Floor Pole is 2.7 m, and you’ll need at least 10 cm of clearance above it — meaning your room should be at least 2.8 m high. The minimum practical height is about 1.9 m, though at that height, training options are limited. If your ceiling is lower, we can cut the pole to size free of charge — simply provide your exact measurement when ordering.

Yes – the Floor Pole is engineered for full safety and stability. Because it’s anchored only to the floor (similar to a Stage Pole), the top section may have slight movement during dynamic spins or tricks. This is completely normal and doesn’t affect safety. The pole can support the weight of two dancers at once. Proper installation is key — the floor must be solid concrete with secure anchors. Minor flexing is natural and does not interfere with pole dance training.

The Floor Pole must be mounted on a stable concrete floor with a minimum thickness of 10 cm. This ensures a solid anchor for safe performance. If you’re unsure whether your floor meets this requirement, contact us for advice before installation. Important: Floor heating systems are not compatible with the Floor Pole, as drilling could damage the heating pipes. If you have both a suspended ceiling and underfloor heating, the Stage Pole will be your best option — it requires no drilling in the ceiling or floor.
