Aerial Hoop – a professional circus hoop for aerial acrobatics
Aerial Hoop, also known as a circus hoop, is specialist sports equipment for aerial acrobatics training. It helps you build strength, body control, fluid movement and spatial awareness. Hoop training combines dance and acrobatics, developing endurance, flexibility and stabilization at the same time.
For many people, it is an alternative to pole dance – offering different dynamics, different transitions and a different body feel in suspension.
Aerial hoop manufacturer – full quality control
We manufacture our aerial hoops in-house and operate our own machine park. We do not outsource production to third parties. Each hoop is made under our direct control – from material selection, through bending, welding and finishing, to final quality inspection.
This means we can react at every stage, introduce improvements and eliminate imperfections. We are not a reseller – we are the manufacturer.
We know how steel behaves under load. We know how the material works during bending and how it reacts to welding. We carefully select steel suppliers and control technical parameters, because in aerial acrobatics there is no room for chance.
As a result, our equipment is consistent, well-balanced and structurally refined.
A perfectly fitted hoop for aerial training
There is no one universal hoop for everyone. The diameter should be chosen based on the user’s height and body proportions. That’s why we offer a full range of sizes, so you can select equipment that matches your physique and training style.
We measure the diameter from the center of the tube – not from the outer or inner edge of the ring. This matters, because it reflects the real usable size, not a “marketing” measurement.
A correctly chosen hoop gives you control, space and comfort in static shapes as well as dynamic transitions.
IPSF-compliant weight – stability in the air
Hoop weight is crucial for how it behaves in suspension. Constructions that are too light are poorly balanced and tend to flip unpredictably during training.
Our smallest 80 cm hoop weighs nearly 4 kg, and the largest 110 cm hoop weighs around 5 kg. These parameters comply with IPSF requirements and ensure stable, predictable movement in the air.
The hoop should work with your body – not against it.
Lighter construction, better ergonomics
M-pole hoops are lighter than many typical constructions available on the market, while maintaining the necessary strength and stability. This makes the equipment more ergonomic, easier to install and more convenient for everyday use – both at home and in the studio.
It’s a difference you’ll feel during transport, setup and spinning work.
Smooth, neatly finished welds
As a manufacturer, we care about details. Welds at the attachment points are smooth and aesthetically finished. There are no sharp edges or random bumps.
This is not just about looks. It’s about safety, comfort and durability – especially if the hoop is wrapped with tape.
Powder-coated steel – durability and performance
M-pole aerial hoops are made of powder-coated steel, most often in black, which provides a neutral base. Changing the hoop’s look is easy – simply use colorful tape.
Tape improves grip comfort and absorbs sweat, increasing control during shapes and transitions. Aesthetics are a bonus – functionality stays key.
Manufactured to IPSF specifications
Our hoops are produced in line with IPSF requirements and specifications. This means their technical parameters match the standards used in competitive environments.
This is equipment that works for home training, studios and competition preparation.

Mounting method depending on your ceiling type
Concrete ceiling – mount by securing the ceiling bracket to the concrete using concrete anchors. A chemical anchor can also be used.
Wooden ceiling – secure the bracket using wood screws.
Wooden beam – you can throw the sling over the beam or use wood screws. If you want to drill into the beam, make sure it is not load-bearing (i.e., the roof is not supported by it). If it is, you must not compromise it.
Steel beam – you can throw a sling over the beam; you can also screw the mounting bracket into the beam if it is not load-bearing.
Suspended ceiling – you must not mount directly to a suspended ceiling. You need to cut an opening and mount to the structural ceiling above.
If you are not sure how to properly install the hoop or silks, contact us. The methods above are suggestions only. Please remember that the person installing the equipment is responsible for installation and must choose the type and method of mounting suitable for the conditions.
To hang an Aerial Hoop, you need: two carabiners, a swivel, a strap (daisy chain or sling) and a mount or bracket. In our shop you can buy ready-made Aerial Hoop + mounting sets:

How to choose the right aerial hoop diameter and size?
One of the simplest and most practical ways to choose the hoop diameter is to sit on a chair and measure the distance from the seat to the top of your head, then add about 10 cm. The result is a diameter that allows you to fit comfortably inside the hoop and perform basic seated and tucked positions. You can, of course, choose a larger hoop – it will give you more space and often works better for dynamic transitions. A diameter that is too small may restrict movement and prevent you from performing certain elements through a full range.
How many tabs should you choose – single tab, double tab, or tabless?
A few years ago, there was a belief that a hoop with two tabs was better for beginners because it felt more stable. Today, the number of tabs is chosen mainly based on preference and training style. The most practical approach is to follow what your studio uses – this makes it easier to transfer skills between home and class. If you plan to compete, it’s worth knowing that most competitions (except IPSF) use single-tab hoops. Tabless hoops offer different rigging options and ways of working in the air, but require a conscious choice of rigging setup.
What additional accessories are needed for an aerial hoop?
For safe installation, you need a ceiling mount—unless you have a strong structural beam you can wrap a strap over, or you train outdoors by hanging the hoop from a stable tree. The strap or sling should be clipped into a carabiner—this is important, because direct contact between the strap and the tab can cause wear over time. A swivel is often installed above the hoop; it prevents the strap from twisting during spins. It’s not mandatory, but it significantly improves comfort. The swivel connects to the hoop via a carabiner, creating a safe and flexible suspension system.
How to install a circus hoop correctly?
The installation method must always be matched to the ceiling type and building structure. Never hang a hoop from a suspended ceiling – the mount must be installed only into the structural ceiling. The bottom of the hoop should be roughly at the athlete’s hip height. This height allows comfortable entries and safe exits, especially while learning new skills.
In what order should you rig an aerial hoop?
First, install the ceiling mount. Next, clip in a carabiner or a carabiner–swivel–carabiner set. Then attach the sling or strap. Finally, hang the hoop by clipping it into the carabiner or wrapping the strap through the hoop using a “tie” method. Only after checking all connections should you begin training. Every component should be selected for strength rating and suitability for aerial use.
How much space do you need for aerial hoop training?
It is generally recommended to have at least 150–170 cm of free space radius from the center of the hoop in every direction. This means you should have at least 150 cm of clearance from the hoop to the nearest wall, furniture or any obstacle. This applies to hoop, pole and hammock training – aerial movement requires space, especially during spins and dynamic transitions.
At what height should an aerial hoop be hung?
Ideally, the hoop should hang at about face height of the person training. In home conditions this can be difficult, so adjustable rigging such as straps or daisy chains are commonly used, allowing height changes without dismantling the entire setup. Training uses space both below and above the hoop, so height adjustability greatly improves functionality and safety.
Why should you tape an aerial hoop?
Wrapping the hoop with cotton tape improves comfort and safety. Tape absorbs sweat, so your hands slip less and grip becomes more secure. The soft cotton surface is gentler on the skin than bare metal, which is especially helpful for beginners and longer training sessions. Tape also comes in many colors, letting you match the hoop to your studio aesthetic or personal style, adding a personalized touch to training.
