SportTape are cotton tapes, ideal for wrapping circus hoops. They are great to use during training. The strong adhesive and stiff cotton ensures that the tape does not roll around on the hoop.

Why tape the hoop?
How do you get rid of excessive adhesive? Usually the tapes have the same amount of glue, but sometimes they can appear too sticky, leaving glue on top of the hoop. How do you get rid of this? You should wipe the hoop with chalk.
How do I get rid of the glue after I have removed the tape? The best way is to use an industrial remover, it does not contain acetone, so it is also suitable for cleaning artifical leather as it does not discolour it. Industrial remover is more effective than spirit and nail polish remover.
If the amount of glue is too much after wrapping the hoop.... Sometimes there is too much glue in some batches of tapes, the manufacturer does not recognise this as a defect in the product. To nullify the sticking of the tape to your hands you can wipe the veneered hoop with magnesia, preferably powdered.
There are several instructional videos on YouTube, below is one of them. Remember that there should be a double layer of tenp on the bottom rim of the hoop, so you need almost two full layers of tapes to tape the hoop. You lay the hoop with the handle facing away from you and start taping "from eight o'clock" to the right up to the handle, then turn the hoop over so that the still un-glued part is on the right side and again "from eight o'clock" to the right until you reach the handle.
